William Byron kicked off
the 40th anniversary season of Hendrick Motorsports with a dramatic victory in
the 66th Annual DAYTONA 500®. Forty years to the day after car owner Rick
Hendrick’s team ran its first race, Byron put himself in position for the 2024
season-opening NASCAR Cup Series® victory late in the going. Byron avoided a
late-race crash to take the lead with just four laps remaining and kept his No.
24 Axalta Chevrolet Camaro ahead of a last-lap crash to score his first DAYTONA
500® victory and the 11th overall win of his NASCAR Cup Series® career. It was
also a record-tying ninth DAYTONA 500® win for the Hendrick Motorsports
organization. Now, NASCAR® fans can commemorate Byron’s thrilling DAYTONA 500®
win with the official Raced-Win die-cast of the No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet Camaro.
